Well a desperate day really, as this one time bastion of developing groundbreaking animation, finally closed its doors today, with absolutely no hint of any other doors being opened. first Channel Four loses it's animation department and now the BBC. The short film and specials can now be officially seen as well and truly dead, unless anyone knows of any other funding way. Both Clare Kitson and Colin Rose, and the people who succeeded them, deserve such thanks for encouraging innovative animation and animators, but how sad to see the legacy of their work trickle out to nothing. A sad day indeed. Where to turn now?
