Sunday 15th March - oh the ides of March.

There is a fantastic article in the Sunday Times today about War Horse and how puppets can work so well, and a photo that just stops the heart. I also feel sick as my big big project to film Zarafa, or stage it, seems to have already been done in South Africa by these same puppet makers. I've tried for so long to get so many different companies interested in this story, but I am such a small voice. Drat.
And itneresting quote fromt he article, referring to the moment when the war Horse confronts a tank ....'the puppet struggles to be alive, only to find technology has made its life obsolete' . Not yet I hope. The audiences respond to these horses in a way no digital technology could hope to match.
