Much as it hurts me to criticise another film with so much animation, this is probably the worst film I have ever sat through in my life. The tribute to the Disney Fantastia scene was so lame and clumsy, with the Dukas music rather apolgetically referenced. I am furious and angry at the film, and a real argument for going to see a single magician standing alone on an empty stage. whatever he would do would be more impressive.....actually yes, the two performers at the Blois Houdin house of Magic two weeks ago had more real magic in their half hour show than a single frame of this overblown fiasco. I guess that has blown my chances for ever working with Brockenheimer. Howe did that get made, and there's the lovely Alice Krige given a good billing, only to be obscured by unspecial special effects (oh the Mummy sandstorms have much to answer for), and in it for barely two minutes.
What were they thinking!!!!!
